Katy Perry has posted a retro-looking movie poster online to tease the upcoming premiere of the official video for new single ‘Roar’.
Following fan demand, the ‘Fireworks’ singer has brought the UK release of ‘Roar’ forward by one week to this Sunday (1st September), and has now confirmed via Twitter that the full-length video for the popular track will be on 5th September.
“Ready for a fun announcement? THE #ROAR MUSIC VIDEO IS COMING TO YOU IN JUNGLESCOPE SEPT 5TH!” Katy tweeted last night (30th August) to confirm the news.
The artwork features Perry dressed up in a Tarzan style outfit while swinging on a jungle vine through trees. It echoes the visuals of a teaser trailer that she released last week which has already clocked up over 1.5 million views on YouTube.
‘Roar’ marks the first cut to be taken from Katy Perry’s upcoming 3rd studio album Prism which is due for release on 22nd October. She’ll perform the track for the first time live in the UK at iTunes Festival 2013 on 30th September.
